CFC Participates in the Fifth Meeting of the Integrated Industrial Partnership in Qatar, Joining the Egyptian Delegation Led by H.E. Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry. DOHA 2025

In a pivotal move to enhance international cooperation, Egypt’s delegation, headed by H.E. Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, actively participated in the Executive Committee of the Integrated Strategic Partnership in Doha, Qatar. Representing CFC, Group Vice Chairman Sameh Banany delivered a compelling presentation on CFC Qena Industrial Complex Project, a major development underway in Upper Egypt. The project, poised to revolutionize global markets for fertilizers, chemicals, and animal feed, was showcased as a key driver of regional industrial advancement and a significant contributor to the global industrial sector.

Banany’s presentation emphasized CFC Qena Industrial Complex’s strategic importance and its cutting-edge capabilities, highlighting its role in fostering industrial growth and transforming regional supply chains.

During the forum, H.E. Kamel El Wazir reiterated Egypt’s unwavering commitment to supporting the partnership and facilitating private sector engagement across member states. He underscored the government’s decisive actions to eliminate barriers and expedite the implementation of the partnership’s action plan.

In his address, H.E outlined Egypt’s substantial efforts to attract industrial investments, which include a series of bold infrastructural reforms and incentives. These initiatives encompass tax exemptions, the modernization of the transportation network, and the development of a robust industrial ecosystem. Notable projects include the expansion of Egypt’s national road network to 7,000 km, a 2,000 km high-speed electric train network, and a 10,000 km upgraded railway system.
Additionally, the country is investing heavily in its seaports, with new berths and stations operated by leading global container terminal firms, alongside the establishment of 33 dry ports and logistics hubs.

Further solidifying its industrial ambitions, Egypt is advancing the development of industrial complexes and cities in 149 industrial zones, with 16 zones dedicated to the industrial developer system. Moreover, the Egypt Digital Platform plays a critical role in streamlining industrial land allocation by announcing available serviced lands nationwide, reinforcing the country’s commitment to fostering high-impact investment projects.

With these initiatives, Egypt is positioning itself as a regional leader in industrial innovation, strengthening its global competitiveness, and driving sustainable economic growth.
