Strategic Partnership Established Between CFC FERTILIZERS AND CHEMICALS, EVERGROW FERTILIZERS, and ECDC to Enhance Agricultural Development in South Africa

  • Under the auspicious of his excellency President Elsisi – President of Egypt and his excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, and following a visit by the Premier of the Eastern Cape province, Mr Oscar Mabuyane, Eng. Mohamed Elkheshen – Chairman of Evergrow Group, one of the biggest producers of Specialty Fertilizers in the Middle East discussed means of cooperation with the Ambassador of South Africa in Egypt – Ambasador Ntsiki Mashimbye who arranged for a high level delegation of South African government officials to meet with Evergrow and CFC officials also visit the Evergrow Industrial Complex.
  • The delegation from the Eastern Cape province was headed by the Member of the Executive Council responsible for Finance and Economic Development, Mr Mlungisi Mvoko. The Eastern Cape delegation was, on 14 November 2023, hosted by Mr. Mohamed Mohamed Elkheshen – Vice Chairman and Mr. Sameh Banani – Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CFC Group to consolidate cooperation and encourage the sharing of know-how and technical support of the Evergrow-CFC Consortium Team with the South African delegation.
  • The visit and discussions culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Evergrow-CFC Consortium – represented by both Mr. M M Elkheshen and Mr. Sameh Banany, and Mr Ayanda Wakaba – CEO of the ECDC and Mr. Abongile Hala, CEO of CHDA for implementation of a Partnership for Agro-Logistics and input supply.
  • Mr. Banani further underscored that through this strategic alliance, we aim to harness our collective strengths to address the dynamic challenges and opportunities within the fertilizer industry.
  • It is expected that soon the CFC\Evergrow Team will visit the Eastern Cape as part of the effort to actualize the partnership.
